The Annexe is located in the popular coastal village of Stoke Fleming, a traditional village overlooking stunning Start Bay. The large village park  has a fantastic childrens play area and the Southwest coastpath runs right through the heart of the village. The popular blue flag Blackpool Sands beach is less than a mile down the hill, and the historic port of Dartmouth is a short 2 mile drive away, or a beautiful 45 minute walk along the Southwest coastpath. Dartmouth is a picturesque deepwater port at the mouth of the River Dart, and is world renowned for its sailing. The ancient, narrow streets house some excellent boutique shops, art galleries & delicatessens. The newly renovated cobbled market place features stalls and regular farmers markets supplying local produce all used by Dartmouth's many gourmet restaurants, pubs & cafes. There are so many fabulous pubs, restaurant & cafés to choose from in the area.  In the village of Stoke Fleming itself Radius 7 is a small bistro style restaurant specialising in fresh locally sourced fish, meat and produce. It also offers takeaway meals early evening.  The village pub, The Green Dragon is a local institution, popular with both locals and visitors alike for real ales and good pub grub.  The village hotel Stoke Lodge, also serves excellent food and is open to non-residents.

If you are heading into Dartmouth to eat then Andria and The Seahorse both serve exceptional food. YARN serves the most amazing burgers and a delicious brunch, and is open for drinks in the evening. If cocktails are your thing, then Bar 1620 Dartmouth serve the best cocktails in the SouthWest for sure, booking is essential. We love The Sail Loft for drinks & nibbles/pizzas too! Our other favourites include the Bayards Cove Inn, The Dartmouth Arms,  Rockfish and Café Alf Fresco (aka Alf's!) is a MUST for breakfast or brunch. The Wheelhouse Restaurant is popular for Fish & Chips, &  you can eat-in or takeaway, or stylish Browns Hotel & Restaurant for tapas and fine wine, or try the ever popular Royal Castle Hotel.

If you want to go slightly further afield The Tower Inn in Slapton is fantastic and has a lovely garden overlooking the tower at the rear and The Cricket Inn at Beesands is located right on the beach overlooking Start Bay and has fabulous sea food, its the perfect pub to go to after a walk round Start Point and a trip to Start Point Lighthouse.
